Connecting Bromley - campaign materials

This page provides the Campaign Resource Centre for the Connecting Bromley campaign.

Connecting Bromley is a local campaign for Bromley, led by the borough’s Health and Wellbeing Board.

It is designed to encourage individuals to take part in activities through invitations to community activities or befriending activities in their own homes to reduce the number of residents in the borough who are socially isolated and/or who feel lonely.

Social isolation can affect a number of vulnerable groups such as the elderly, people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities or mental ill-health, young parents and care leavers without a local support structure.

Carers can also be impacted especially when they are caring many hours a week. Social isolation can impact on an individual’s physical and mental wellbeing as well as leaving them at greater risk of abuse.

Purpose of the campaign

Connecting Bromley connects individuals, neighbourhoods and communities across Bromley to improve the lives of the borough’s residents by empowering them, improving their wellbeing and helping them feel more involved in their local area.

Mission of the campaign

Connecting Bromley envisions a world where all residents of Bromley feel part of their community, have regular social contact and are supported to have better life outcomes.
