Information Advice and Support Service
The Information, Advice and Support Service (IASS - formerly Parent Partnership) offers information, advice and support, for parents and carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) from birth to 25 and for young people with SEN or disabilities aged 16-25.
Support is also available for all parents and carers on their child's transition from pre-school to primary school and on to secondary school.
Support is offered to all parents and carers on applying for a school place and understanding the school admissions process. Help is available for completing the Common Application Form and when preparing for an admissions appeal.
Independent Parental Supporters
An Independent Parental Supporter (IPS) is a volunteer who has completed some training from IASS . If you require someone to accompany you to a meeting or help with paperwork, we may be able to provide an IPS to support you.
All Independent Parent Supporters support the service voluntarily and have other commitments, therefore we cannot guarantee that we will be able to provide this service.
