Community Home Visiting
People who are isolated or housebound can receive a regular visit by a volunteer for company and support.  Please call the BHCCA Centre office for more details.

Sing-along
No musical experience is required as the singing is always just for fun! The sing-along takes place once a month in the hall of the New Life Church next to Waitrose in Biggin Hill. Please call the BHCCA Centre Office for more details.

Hearing Aid Maintenance Clinic
The clinic is organised by the charity Hi Kent. Call in to have your NHS hearing aid cleaned and collect your free batteries at the centre. The clinic is held on the Fourth Thursday in the month 1 pm - 2.30 pm.  No appointment is needed. Telephone 01622 691151 for more details.

Nail Clipping
A nail clipping service for Bromley residents (50+) operates from the centre organised by Age UK Bromley. Please call 0208 315 1850 for more details.

The Friday Shopping Scheme
Each Friday, elderly people who find it difficult to get to the shops and do not have anyone to do their shopping for them are collected from their homes and taken shopping in Biggin Hill.  If needed, an escort is provided to accompany them around the shops.  Afterwards, refreshments are provided in the hall next to Waitrose.

The Biggin Hill Community Care office is open from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Please leave a message outside of these hours.  The answer machine is monitored regularly during the week.  Unless different information is listed below under a particular activity, all enquiries should be made to the BHCCA Centre office.

Day Centre Opportunities
The Day Centre Clubs on Tuesdays and Thursdays are for elderly and housebound people.  They provide friendship and stimulation through a variety of activities. A freshly cooked three course meal is provided along with refreshments during the day. Transport is available. Short  term respite day care is possible. Contact the Centre Manager on a Tuesday or Thursday for more details.

The charges for the Tuesday and Thursday clubs will depend on the support given to individuals by the local authority.

Bathing Service on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Our trained staff offer a bathing service in a specially equipped bath room for those unable to bath themselves or who have elderly carers. This is also available for people not attending the day centre.

The Wednesday Lunch Club
This is a retired people’s lunch club. A freshly cooked three course meal is served followed by a social coffee - chat session. For more information or advice contact the BHCCA Centre Office.

Advice in Biggin Hill
General Advice Sessions: 2nd & 4th Wednesdays each month. 10am to 12 noon
Our adviser provides free, confidential, impartial and independent advice.
Parkinson’s Disease Society - 1st Wednesday each month
An informal coffee session is held from 10am to 12 noon. For more information, contact Bob Fisher on 01689 889326

Art Room
A relaxed art activity for retired people. Everyone is welcome - from novice to expert. Included is some professional tuition. It is held on Wednesdays from 2 pm at the Centre.  For more information

Location:  St Mark's Centre is situated next to St Mark's Church in Church Road off Main Road (A233), Biggin Hill opposite the Library and Swimming Pool.  There is a car park adjacent to the Centre.

Public Transport:  The following buses all stop outside St Mark's Church or the Library/Swimming Pool:  320 from Bromley and Biggin Hill Valley, 246 from Westerham and Bromley, R2 from Biggin Hill Valley and Orpington, 246 from Tatsfield and New Addington, R8 from Orpington and Downe.
